Q Comm’s management team is comprised of
executives and professionals with significant
experience in telecommunications services, services
delivery, and value-added resale.
Mike Keough, CEO/President,
served as CEO, President, and Chief Strategy Officer of ClearOne Communications, a $60-million and 265-employee company that offers industry leading audio, video, and web-based conferencing products and services.
During his tenure there from 2002 to 2004, shareholder value increased over 600%. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Keough served as Senior Vice President of World Wide Sales for Tempo, a division of Textron, and Learnframe. His responsibilities there included building multinational sales organizations, developing strategic partnerships, and winning business from such clients as Bell South, SBC, Ameritech, Verizon, Quest, Corning, and JDS Uniphase. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Keough worked as Senior Vice President of Sales for Megahertz and Vice-President of Sales for the Mobile Communications Division of USRobotics, both acquired by the 3Com Corporation. After the acquisitions, he became the Vice President of Channel Sales for 3Com where he was responsible for a $2.2 billion annual revenue objective for all of 3Com’s product offerings, while managing approximately 250 people.
Mr. Keough’s other management positions include Director of Western U.S. Sales for the Andrew Corporation, Data Sales Manager for AT&T Information Systems, and Sales Training Instructor/Marketing Representative for IBM. Mr. Keough earned both an Executive MBA and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington.
Mark Robinson, Chief Financial Officer, served as Chief Financial
Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Clickguard Corporation which was acquired by Danka Corporation in 2003. While with Clickguard Mr. Robinson successfully executed a company turnaround and was the point person to negotiate the Company’s sale to Danka Corporation. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Robinson was Chief Financial Officer and Co-President of Bluecurve Corporation, a start-up software company, which was acquired by Red Hat Corporation in 2000. During his tenure there he raised over $5 million in venture capital, corporate and angel funding and oversaw the company’s acquisition by Red Hat Corporation for $55 million. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Robinson was the Corporate Controller for Prometrix Corporation, and following the acquisition of Prometrix by KLA-Tencor in 1994 became the Prometrix Division Controller. During his tenure there Mr. Robinson was one of six members of senior staff to drive revenue from $25 to $130 million and operating margin from 9 to 30 percent. Mr. Robinson also held accounting and financial management positions at Hewlett Packard and Ford Aerospace and Communications Corporation from 1983 to 1992. Mr. Robinson earned both an MBA and Bachelor of Administration from the University of Utah.
Charles Callis, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, is responsible for developing strategic technology and industry alliances as well as new product and revenue sources. Mr. Callis brings more than seventeen years of executive-level sales and marketing experience in startup, early stage, and mature technology companies, as well as a long history of building industry alliances and value-added channel networks both domestically and internationally. Mr. Callis served as Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing for ClearOne Communications where he built a global partner network of distributors and value-added resellers. Prior to ClearOne Callis served as Vice President of Sales for e-learning platform company, Learnframe, and as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Alliances for systems management leader Altiris, Inc. Mr. Callis held numerous executive positions for Novell, Inc. including Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Enterprise Customers, and Managing Director EMEA. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah with BA and MBA degrees.
Fred
Schade, Vice President of Engineering,
comes to Q Comm with more than 23 years of experience
in IT and software development. Fred served as the CTO and Vice President of Research & Development
for MediConnect.net Inc., where he was responsible for all phases of
product development and R&D strategies. He
developed the de facto standard (EDI) for medical
record retrieval now used in the multi-billion
dollar medical record retrieval industry. From
1997 to 1999 he was the Director of Software Development
for NetSchools Corporation, where he built and
directed a 170-member team that performed most
of the company's engineering, quality assurance,
design, operations, maintenance, and support.
From 1993 to 1997 he was the Director of Software
Development for the Waterford Institute, where
he was responsible for development of the Waterford
Early Reading Program (ERP). From 1989 to 1993
he served as a Software Engineer and Product Manager
for IBM. He is the inventor/co-inventor of six
technology and business process patents, four
of which have been issued and two of which are
pending.

Thomas Baker, Vice President of Sales, has more than 25 years of sales and sales management experience, including 10 years in the prepaid telecommunications industry. Mr. Baker began his career in the prepaid industry in 1996 as a Regional Sales Manager for Frontier Communications focusing on the college market. When Frontier divested itself of its prepaid business in 1998, Mr. Baker joined GTE as a National Account Executive. In 1999, he was the lead sales person as GTE entered into the wholesale prepaid calling card business and was responsible for managing the distribution in the key markets of Texas, Florida, New York Tri-State, Chicago, and California. When GTE merged with Bell Atlantic to form Verizon, Mr. Baker remained as the lead account executive and the wholesale prepaid business in the markets he managed generated over $40 million in annualized sales. He joined Q Comm in 2005 as the Regional Manager for the northeast and became Vice President of Sales in March of 2006. Before entering the prepaid industry, Mr. Baker spent 12 years in the insurance industry including eight years as a regional sales manager for the Travelers Insurance Company. He is a graduate of St. John’s University (New York) where he obtained Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting.
Pieter Hamman, Vice President of Major Account Sales, joined Q Comm in February 2006. Mr. Hamman was previously CEO and principal of Sun Communications (a company acquired by Q Comm International in the same month), a position he held since 2001. From 1997 to 2001 Mr. Hamman provided management consultancy to several US software companies establishing international operations in Asia Pacific, and from 1994 to 1996 held the position of Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing with CSK Software, Inc., a Japanese software company providing information integration and distribution solutions. Other experience with CSK and Control Data Corporation over 15 years includes holding senior regional management positions in North America and Asia. Mr. Hamman earned a Bachelor of Business Science degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
